At Scheduling Adventure, we are passionate about inspiring families with travel ideas in the state of Arkansas. We highlight events, towns, outdoor activities, dining and small businesses, and Arkansas pop culture and history. Our passion is putting Arkansas on display! Our aim is to provide families and individuals with travel ideas and to promote Arkansas communities.

We love to explore as a family, but life is busy. So we have to sit down and schedule our trips-- hence the name Scheduling Adventure. We share our trips with you to inspire you to plan and make time for adventure.

My husband Colin has worked in higher education for almost 20 years, organizing events, working with students, managing teams, and overseeing campus buildings. For Scheduling Adventure, he gets us to our destinations, sets up our camping adventures, and does the important work of teaching our daughters to fish, hike, and explore. Marla is also training him to use a camera!

Hi, I’m Marla, a content creator with over 20 years of experience in visual storytelling. With degrees in digital filmmaking and writing, I began my career traveling the globe producing video and editorial content for a media organization. I spent the next ten years creating freelance content. As the founder of Scheduling Adventure, I focus on uncovering the best travel experiences in and around Arkansas. From scenic road trips and hidden hiking trails to culinary hotspots and family adventures, I spotlight the destinations that make the region shine. My goal is to inspire others to discover the rich experiences Arkansas has to offer.
